Outdoor First Aid is a specific discipline in First Aid that presents the First Aider with the demanding situation of prolonged care of a patient in a remote wilderness area before definitive medical care can be provided. In such situations, emergency medical services may be difficult to obtain or delayed and there are a number of different skills required compared to the urban setting.
Throughout your course, you will be presented with a number of realistic situations involving casualty simulation. This will challenge and enhance the skills and knowledge you have acquired during the course. One of the many unique elements of this course is the proven neuroscience of staying calm in an emergency.
Our courses are for anyone, but are particularly suitable for those who work outdoors, for example, Outdoor Activity Instructors, Forest School Leaders, Estate workers, DofE Leaders and anyone who enjoys the great outdoors, to name but a few.
